In a move aimed at fortifying leadership roles within the state, Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has made notable appointments, showcasing a commitment to diverse representation and efficient governance. The announcement, made on Wednesday, includes the appointment of Barrister Ayodele Adekanmbi as the Director-General of the Oyo State Agency for People with Disabilities.
Governor Makinde, through a letter issued by his Chief of Staff, Segun Ogunwuyi, revealed that the appointments are effective immediately. Among the key appointments is Mr. Olajide Boladuro, who has been named the Director-General of the Oyo State Gaming Board.
The Governor, emphasizing the urgency and importance of these appointments, underscores his dedication to ensuring a robust and efficient administration across various sectors. In addition to the leadership appointments, Makinde appointed Bishop David Moradeyo as the Chairman of the Oyo State Pilgrims Welfare Board (Christian Wing), while Sheikh Hashim Olamide Wahab Atere has been appointed as the Chairman of the Muslim Wing of the Board.

The appointments extend to various sectors, reflecting the governor’s intention to strengthen governance and representation. Rev. Femi Ibikunle is designated as the Special Assistant (Inter-Faith Affairs), Mr. Timothy Olufemi Sunday assumes the role of Executive Assistant (Disabilities Matters), and Alhaji AbdulRasheed Adewale is appointed as Special Assistant (Islamic Affairs).
Further appointments include Mr. Lanre Dairo as Special Assistant (Housing & Urban Development), Hon. Olaniyan Babatunde David as Executive Chairman of Shooting Stars, Mr. Ayoola Olowosoke as Chairman of the Agency for Adult and Non-formal Education (AANFE), and Sheikh Akeugberu Taofeeq Akewugbagold as Chairman of the Agric Credit Corporation.
The Governor charged the newly appointed individuals to view their roles as a call to greater service and encouraged them to discharge their duties with utmost dedication to the state.
